Okay peeps. With the M1A1 Walker Striker wrapping up, it's time for me to start thinking of my next project. This one is MORE ambitious. A scratch built, 12 inch to 16 inch or 30.5 cm to 45 cm tall mecha that will be fully articulated and cockpit features. The cockpit will be the entry plug seat that comes with all three figma Evangelion movie gals. Yes, I plan to build three different ones. Mari's will be a gun heavy one. Rei's a sniper, support as Asuka's is more close combat oriented.
The first of the three will be determined by which girl I will get first but I need to draw the designs NOW so I can start gathering supplies and parts and most of all, Poly Caps. With that in mind, I have a request for you all. I need the dimensions of the seat if any of you have it. Please.

Now, if they make Shinki and/or Kawaru, I will have 1 - 5 units. Won't that be sweet and you all will see it as they get built. But first thing is first, dimensions please.

Lookout people! Prepare to have your eyes bulge wide open and your jaw hit the floor when you take a look at what's coming next! Too much like Saxon Hale? Alright, I'll tone ti down but seriously, today was a good day.

My favorite pose.

Gotta love leather cords.

Now take a gander at this!
Now since poly-caps may be too small for this project, I custom made my own shoulder system.
Image

Now this is how the hinges will be made. The aluminum piece will be glued to the wood as the brass piece will turn within the aluminum tube with the hole punched styrene acting as a cap that gets glued to the wood.

The next few pics will be of the shoulder in various poses so to say.

I get the feeling at times that I am being a nuisance. If so, I apologize but it's me. Now, with that out of the way, I still wish to have sizes of the dimensions for the entry plug that comes with all three evangelion gals from figma.
Until next time folks, peace! :headbang:

Interesting shoulder design. It looks like it's going to be sticking out in one way or another, but maybe that's just me.

Also, the belts for Saber are neat. I need to figure out something similar for my Eukrante.

Try leather cord. That works and as stated, these are just prototypes. They won't be sticking out all that much once I build the torso for the mech.

Fake leather fabric is better for miniatures. Those cords you've used are way too thick :P

At stores that sell fabrics :P
You know, those with huge rolls of fabric that sell by centimeters.
Look up the yellowpages or similar, ask a taylor, ask a furniture maker/repairman... It may seem difficult to find such store, but when you do, you'll be in customizing heaven, probably with several similar stores around.

Okay. I'll give it a shot but I will do so when I run out of my leather cord. I still have plans for it.
And it's time for an update.

Major update. Did some more work on the M1A1 striker.
Besides the rifle getting touche up, I made up some stowage racks.

This las is armed to the teeth.

And a closer shot of the stowage racks.

Well, my round molds are coming in still. I may get some adhesive putty today so see you later peeps.

2808 views. Simply incredible. Thank you all for your views and most of all, patience. With that in mind, it's time to make your eyes pop wide and your comic holding hands fall off your very arms when you take a look at this action pack-ish! Love Saxton Hale!!!!!!!! Without further ado, basic building of the M1A1 Walker Striker is ... DONE!!!

More will come as I finish the striker but now, I am making more pieces for the stop motion set that I will upload to this site tomorrow. So until then, be good my firends and stay out of trouble. YEAH RIGHT! }:>
