That be true. I did make Zelda (Xiphos) ride Fuunsaiki once, but Fuunsaiki really is small in proportion to shinkis, like most 1/144 gunpla. At least its scale is closer to that of figmas, which are also smaller than shinkis.v2gundam wrote:If that is the HG Fuunsaiki, it might be a touch small for Shinkis.Storm Wing wrote: ....Good. Now let Benio straddle, err, ride him outIf only you colored it in Blue & yellow/gold, Xiphos will be the one who ride him

Re: gunpla and other model kits!
I have a question for anybody with experience regarding plamo painting:
I got an SD G-Generations Qubeley trio set and I intend on applying paint and stuff on the purple MK2 so I can properly display it along with my Elpeo Ple mini-fig.
When using spray paint, what do you guys usually use to cover the areas that you don't want the paint to hit?

Not sure if this is the correct thread for that... but anyway, good masking tape is the way to go. One way is to pre-cut the pieces of tape before applying them on the surface. Another is to cover up a large surface then use a sharp blade, like an X-acto knife, to cut away the tape and expose what you wanna paint (like what I did to my black and red Fuunsaiki). What's important is you do what you feel more comfortable (and confident) with.OshareKeiji wrote:I have a question for anybody with experience regarding plamo painting:

Well, it's directly related to Gunpla modding and I didn't really see the need to create a separate thread for a trifle question.ZeroEdge wrote:Not sure if this is the correct thread for that... but anyway, good masking tape is the way to go. Anyway, I'll try the method/s you suggested. Will probably post the snap here when I'm done.
Thanks.

Done with the SD Qubeley Mk2's paint job, though in the end, I still used Gundam Markers. Couldn't find a halfway decent shade of purple in any hobby shop around, so I ended up getting a couple of Metallic Violet markers.
The effect after drying looked nice though. It had that "exposed to the outside" feel without having to do those fancy metal wear gimmicks that I saw in a few model painting tutorial vids.

HG and MG Qubeley MK-II Elpeo Ple Use.
Also got an MG Ple Two model, but I haven't taken a photo of it yet.
Currently inking the ins and outs with the small Gundam Marker.

HG Nobell Gundam. Took some liberties with the blue parts. This is perhaps the only fully painted Gunpla I own (mostly Gundam Markers, but the rear of the hair part was done with spray paint.

Finally got an HG Kshatriya, been looking for it forever. Just finished assembly, gonna do marker details and stuff later. HG Qubeley Mk-II also inherited some extra decals from the MG one.
