Wow. Been a few days and I've been busy. Anyway, it's time for some awesome updates.

In this shot, the legs have been painted and treads deployed.
Image

Same legs as above with treads retracted.

In this shot, work on the ankle and ankle armor hinge begins.
Image
Image

In this one, it shows the new knee. A simple clear plastic tube and two brass tubes cut. More to see as I get it finished.
Image

The ankle hinge is almost complete. All that is left is to paint the pieces.
Image

Mission accomplished. Both legs at this point are done for the day. The hinges are permanently attached thanks to a hole punch and styrene sheeting.
Image

After a LOT of work, the thighs are completed. To a point.
Image

A closer shot of the uncompleted thighs and skirt armor.
Image

And now everything is painted and I need a new bottle of desert yellow. This lone project nailed it.
Image

And now that the whole thing is in a way reassembled.
Image

At this moment of time, I have to build onto a hinge that I have a set of armor that covers the front side of the knee and a stowage rack on both sides. That and cut out some screen for the exhaust in the rear. On top of that, the knees are waiting for parts to arrive so they can be completed and painted. Other than that, I am almost done with this build.

Those are some big legs. If I had a complaint, it's that the legs are too wide for the treads (or vise-versa).

I know but the wood needed to be thick for the treads to slide down.
Speaking of that, despite it's still not finished, check this out!!!!!!!
Image

Take note that at this point, the knee is just there. It's not yet glued in on the lower leg.

At this point I am waiting on some parts for the knees to get them finished. Then it be stowage racks and anything I can use as stowage. With elastic straps coming in soon as well, I can add gun straps to many of my weapons. Before that, I got to build a bi-pod and finish painting areas I have added to the cannon and drill four more holes. Busy, busy I am.
Starting tomorrow, if approved, I will begin to show you my latest project. A beastly armored plow for a project for Moonshine Animations. http://www.youtube.com/user/MoonshineAnimations

I made it that tight. Gotta love a good dremel and good drill bits. I forgot to mention I have the knee armor to build as well.

This looks really promising ^ :strarf:

If I only had modelling skills like yours, I would have made custom aircraft girls a long time ago. ^^;

Don't temp me
Why not? I can go all out with what aircraft not yet seen in Strike Witches. Heck, I may go with that Gulf War fan project. But as a military aircraft nut, WHERE DO I START????? :headboom:
It's a shame I got into Busou Shinki very late. The likes of Fort Bragg, Zelnograd and such would made for some very interesting land witches.
