The paint job is fine. It's likely the plastic underneath that's malformed. Likely errors with mold tolerance. Sadly, it looks like this isnt an unusual issue with these two.

They're made really well, my only complaint is that Proxima's front hair piece really covers her face and eyes too much, or that's just one of mine.
How's the paint work?

Paint seems ok for mine (The front hair for both is not as top notch as the prototypes, kinda molded meh but still ok), I fixed the hair thing too, didn't push it in all the way :P

Hooray! The molds must be pretty delicate, hence the bubbling. I can't wait for mine to arrive (Several of my shinki have this issue, that's why I'm not batting an eyelid at it unless, y'know, my shinki arrives with no hair at all.)

Proxima arrived a few days ago, no problems whatsoever with any of the molding, so if there are problems with this wave, I must have missed them.

Got my Proxima in, I must say she is a wonderful shinki!

I do like her much better as a redhead though. <3

I guess I have to complain....

The same thing happened to me twice now. Within 10 minutes of opening a shinki box, something is broken. Maybe its me ???
Both times it was after inserting a piece into a hole, then when trying to twist the angle or remove the piece, the stub breaks off and gets stuck in the hole. First was Rapitas, now Maryceles.
:*(
I'll be moving things VERY gently from now on.

Perhaps you should wait until the figures are at room temperature ?

Perhaps you can contact the store you got Mary Celes from and explain your situation ? They may be able to provide a replacement part.

That's definitely an odd issue. I agree that make sure the shinkis are room temperature before unboxing them, and other than that just be gentle. (which is hard, really. I had to use awkward amounts of force to change proxima's chest piece. the second one didn't want to go over her neck)
