(copy&pasted from TFW)

Okay, I spent the night playing around with Gabrine so quick and dirty review. I like the concept but the quality left much to be desired. I went with the "soak the foot" method to fix the ankle problem. Even after that, the ball joint liked to stick to the foot which caused me quite a bit of worry the first several times I moved the foot around. Now, it seems to be just fine so that's a relief.

Other complaints and oh do I have many:

The left arm armor is a loose fit. It stays on well enough but it's too easy to take off as well. Gabrine won't be doing any heavy lifting with that arm.

Image
The risque chest piece has fairly dirty paint app. Looks like Gabrine just got back from fixing her car or bike.

The collar on said chest piece is ridiculous. Not only does it completely block any vertical neck movement but it makes the helmeted head easy to fall off. The bare head won't fall of as easily but the neck restriction is still there.

The spear is too tight of a fit. Would have been nice if it was just slightly slimmer.

Image
The left tall leg adapter has a bent peg. Doesn't look like it can be fixed.

Image
Comparison pic with the okay leg adapter.

To sum it up, very bad execution and QC. Renge doesn't seem like she has quite as much problems as Gabrine so if the opportunity presents itself, I will get her. Anyways a few more Gabrine pics.

Gabrine with normal chest. Much better as far as both visual and neck is concerned.

One of the reasons I got her is to pair her with Ghost Rider.

Gabrine riding Ghost Rider. That's all folks!

For the bent leg adapter : Boil the piece and gently bend it straight once it softens, then leave it to dry. It should stay. I've used this technique to fix Pinky:St figures and polyurethane resin BJDs before.

As far as loose joints: Renge has a lot of loose bits too =/ her arms and legs keep coming off too easily and her claw weapons don't stay in nicely.

It's worth a shot, thanks.

Eeek now I'm unsure about getting Renge! :vitulus:
(Although I'm sure that can be fixed with some glue. :p)

Yeah. With the claws I think it's because they're so heavy on such a small (jointed) base, since they're the two halves of the tail base. Her boots fit snuggly but her wrists/hands fall off easily.

I'd still say she's worth it, she's a lot sounder than a lot of my older girls, just not as up to snuff as some of the girls from late last year/early this year (end of MMS1st line and beginning of MMS3rd).

Haha! Now that's something out of the ordinary to do!

You beat me on the Halloween:

and the over-the-top crazyness:

I'll cheer you on if you do the Squirrel thing again in a different way . Glad your Pammock is fine. Maybe try for some kind of Squirrel trap or picknick layout? Maybe I should as they're quite funny over here due to fall. I love seeing these kind of figure images ^^. But ya, I'd be paranoid as well to keep the figures in good/original/mint shape.

...I was wondering if the Blythe clothes would fit. How well do they?
