...okay, enough of that. While many of you know me as being drawn towards this particular hair/eye color combination... I must say it doesn't completely flow with Asuka's look... I think the two shades of 'black' are to blame. I hope I'm not the only one that doesn't like the almost-black shade of blue Konami tends to use on armor. Strarf, black Arnval, black Euk and Ia, Valona... they've all got it. Well, not that I don't like it, they just tend to use it a lot. It's starting to bother me.

I been wrong a lot when it comes to making guesses about shinki, but...

In the middle ages in Europe, God's love for his subjects was believed to manifest as physical warmth, and because demons and the damned were furthest from God's love, it was believed that Hell was a really, really cold place. Consequently, artists of that era would often depict demons, and Satan especially, as having bluish skin. The navy blue or night blue or whatever used in the Shinki lineup for 'evil' characters (The devil and succubus, the 'fallen' angel, the Goatee Mirror Universe Twins, and now suspiciously Ghaleon-colored twin of Asuka, may possibly be a reference to that.

I'm relieved that the symbol on Murmeltier's hat appears to have been changed into something more neutral. I might end up getting this repaint for that reason alone.

the LE Eukrante sitting on my desk looks pretty jet black to me.

No, the wings (and other bits that were white on the normal) are actually a rather dark shade of blue. Put it next to something that *is* black, like Strarf's body, and you'll notice.

Just as a general reminder...so far these are only for BR/DS. We're still waiting to see if there's an announcement for an actual figure release.

That said, the online versions HAVE been released.

Murmetia...now TWICE as Aryan and sporting a desert khaki 'Afrika Korp' paint job.
Asuka: they went with an offwhite, light blue for her hair I see. I loev the oh so subtle 'Buy two for a strike witch' pose too
