For discussion of all the other girl+mecha lines that have cropped up since Shinki began: Frame Arms: Girls, Megami Device, Armor Girls Project, Desktop Army, etc. This includes kinda-sortas like Daibadi's Polynian and things like Strike Witches and Fumikane's original Mecha Musume.

The Frame Arm girls have been brought up before.
They don't really grab me in the same way, sadly. There doesn't seems to be the same level of compatibility and poseability that I enjoyed with the Shinki line.

Currently waiting for the firsts release. I'm not quite sure they'll have the same range of movement that the shinkis, which was what made me like the line so much.

This. I'd have to wait for the full release to be sure, but I don't think these figures have any sort of base body; there's nothing under the armor. That's an odd design choice in my eyes, because one of the main draws of the Frame Arms kits was the shared base body that allowed for mixing and matching armor in a manner not unsimilar to to Shinki; and for me, that design choice led me to only watch the line instead of joining in.

I see Shimada Humikane's been busy. =p
Can anyone tell if the figure has hip joints? I'm assuming it does, but it's hard to tell...

no mms body means no shinki. The mms body type was a wonderful design which the frame arms girls do not have. Though both lines are mecha musume, they are different
