Been a while since I posted, but I thought I might show off some of my little projects that I've been working on. I work with wire, and I basically made all the eyewear you see here. All the pieces have lenses and are removable, the shinki themselves are unmodified. Hope you enjoy!
Bright's new look:
her poor, poor weak plastic glasses are so flimsy I felt I had to make her some new ones. I somewhat prefer these to her old ones, thought they do tend to slip at times.
Ahh, the monocle. I would be remiss if I didn't make one of these for my shinki, especially when I can combine it like this:
However, it would seem that it suits my resident mad scientist far more
can I get a Mwahaha?
Lastly, and my most recent design, a new formal/ceremonial styled eyepatch for Murmeltier
I'm quite proud of it, though I think the ribbon just under her hair may need some work, not sure.
Anyone else have similar work or ideas they'd like me to try and make?

Monocle was laugh worthy. The eyepatch look really nice on Mur too, now all she need is a pirate suit.

Heh, maybe I'll do some cloth work in the future, but for now it's just wirework.General_Noodles wrote:Monocle was laugh worthy. The eyepatch look really nice on Mur too, now all she need is a pirate suit.

That's really great! I love how natural they all look. Hyre, I don't suppose you've ever considered taking commissions? I'm sure a few of us would be willing to drop some dough on a more sturdy set of specs for Bright Feather, if nothing else...

Aagh, apologies, apologies, I don't frequent the forums often enough!
I use simple paper glue for these ones, but they're rubbery and water soluble(though that's fine for me, as if they do get messed up, all I have to do is reapply a fresh bit of glue.)persocomsan wrote:those are really nice, what did you use for such tiny lenses?

I can indeed color them(had success with painting them using clear paints, might try some highlighters or sharpies as well), so pick a color you like and we'll see what I can do. As to commissions, I need to make sure I can actually ship them safely. They may be sturdier than Bright's natural glasses, but they still can be smushed. Go ahead and make a request via PM's or Email and I'll see what we can work out, ok?persocomsan wrote:could you do sunglasses? and I'd probably pay if you sold them :3
