Quick Question Concerning Image Size

Before I post pictures of my Shinkis in the Show & Tell section, I need to ask this question:

Would pictures sized at 800 x 600 be considered too large?

I just rather be safe than sorry, so that's why I wanted to ask first before I start posting pictures.

I dont think we have an official policy on pictures so long as you're not obnoxious about it. Avoid posting images that'll stretch out the page.

I have a similar question, but for signature images. Is there a limit to how big it can be, and if there isn't, what would be the preferable size?

See above note. No hard and fast rule beyond 'Dont be obnoxious.' If it stretches out a page, or it's bigger then most posts? That's obnoxious.

Usually I average around 500 x 100.
