so uh, thanks to this upload of the battle rondo files that is somehow still active since 2014, me and some friends were able to mess with it's files, and one of them are actually taking their time to reverse engineer the game to make an open source server replacement, and it's showing promising results!
first of all, Battle Rondo is still stuck expecting some data that hasn't been reversed yet, but opening Diorama Studio is now completely possible and it fully works (wich i bet a lot of people is going to be happy for), there's even a english translation that another friend is doing!
you can find the server source code on github
here, the github page also has instructions on how to get this setup, keep in mind you need to open the games with the bsnet hook dll for them to work (injector.exe dstudio.exe bsnet_hook.dll)
also, if anyone else is able to contribute to the code that'd be really awesome, since right now it's only one person working on getting battle rondo to boot up and play
PS: thank you random admin for accepting me!! i thought i would never get accepted considering this forum is pretty abandoned recently, but since i got accepted, i'm able to share this with anyone that comes up with this thread on the future, thank you so much!!
EDIT: no news regarding Battle Rondo support in the ShinkiNET server, but a friend has recently made a wiki page that should help get the game and the server setup, alongside a mirror of the game files, you can find it here:
https://busoushinki.miraheze.org/wiki/B ... tion_guide, the links for the English patch for diorama studio in that wiki should be up in any moment now
EDIT 2:
This is kinda important, we just noticed that the diorama studio version from this upload is outdated, since it's a version from 2009, and the latest one is from 2011.
we realized this when we found studio screenshots from ArcticKitsu from 2011, it included renge and a copyright date of 2011, wich isn't present in our build, if you have a newer build of diorama studio that is from 2011, don't hesitate to contact me on discord (my tag is guitarfreaks), thanks

having the setup file "shinkinet_setup.exe" would also be nice! for archival purposes tho, i doubt that setup file will include the latest version of dstudio, i think
