Customs tend to use intricate paint jobs and parts that wouldnt be economically feasible for a mass market release.
The book looks nice, I must say. I'm not enamored with all the custom pics, but i'm a sucker for fictional technical readouts. I might have to order one.

I'm aware.

I never said or asked anything that needed to be explained or answered, I only said they looked better then the official releases. I merely gave my
opinion >_>...
Is it really necessary to troll numerous posts I make and act stuck up like that?

Vol, what I meant was, there's no reason to seem pissed about the fact that customs are better than official releases. ^^;

I wasn't pissed, but it would be cool if Konami got the rights to make some similar. Though that's what they are starting to do kinda isn't it? Not sure >_< Either way I'm sure Konami will release some really great new Shinkis later on \o/ "The waiting is the hardest part" >_<
And, sorry for the comment.

Turning customs into official releases isn't a normal business practice. I seem to recall Altrene being a contest-winner, and if so, there were likely strict regulations regarding what could be entered...
And drawn customs are a whole 'nother matter altogether...

WOOOOO, DRAWN CUSTOMS!
I will say, actually, that Yahoo!Japan has some of the wonderfest shinki customs up for grabs. The Swan Lake customs are being fought over quite rabidly.
I'm going to have to get my hands on a copy of this book - those customs are beautiful.
