Re: Busou Shinki Magazine Vol.1
Are we talking about one off customs here, or the various customization garage kits we see now and then?

Argh, I am not good with technical terms, so I'll tell you what I saw: about four of Amber's Swan Lake variants floating around on yahoo!Japan for an arm and a leg, two custom Graces, Schmetterling variations (mostly heads, but beautifully done) and a bunch of Maki Asai designs I hadn't seen before.
武装神姫 <- copy this and past it into here: http://www.excite-webtl.jp/world/englis ... N&wb_dis=2
In my defense I'm looking for an Ach that won't cost me a month's paycheck...but by proxy it probably won't matter. I'm also majorly jet-lagged, so in a few days I'll look back on this topic and know what you mean when you ask what kind of custom it is o.o

Re: Busou Shinki Magazine Vol.1
Well, I finally got myself a copy of this thing. No scans, but I'll try to take photos and insterspace them at some point.
The entire volume is mostly dedicated to Humikane's Shinkis, and it's all in full color.
To start, We get a nice pull out 'poster' of Arnval and Strarf (mine was put in upside down) featuring new art of them, it's a duplicate of the art on the covers.
Then we get nice copies of the art you see on all the boxes and official releases, without all the stuff that normally interrupts things. I'd get it JUST for this. The only issue I have is many of them are two page spreads, so the binding actually gets in the way. Interspaced between them are design sketches, concept art, and some works in progress as they work on the custom bits for the recolors.
Next, battle rondo info for all the Humikane Shinkis. Most of it's in Japanese, but it looks like it's mostly just info on the base body.
After that, we get a major section of custom stuff. Custom Ach and Yda. That entire group of Schmetterling based custom heads. A few more that have been floating about. Honestly, I could do without it.
Summarise? I think it's worth a purchase for the artwork alone.
