Wave 8 - Repaints Confirmed

Oh man, I neeeeed Night Fighter Asuka.

I was surprised at the hate for them both though,
as my first thought was that they're both really awesome looking and a great chance to get my hands on a couple of toys I've wanted for a while but can't find anywhere for a decent price.

But I guess It's a matter of personal prefference, as for some reason Shinki repaints bother me a lot less than most other toylines (such as transformers, where I try and avoid repaints as much as possible)

I'd love to be able to choose my colour scheme for each character I want...
(a whole team of Black armoured/white haired Shinkis each with a different battlefield role? *drool*)


I just hope they're not online-only japanese exclusives or never-to-see-a-release-customs ;___;

They're available in the SPT (cash) shop of the game, I think...


But yeah. We've only had three actual pairs of repaints for sale, none of which have been regular-release, which may explain why you don't have a problem with them.

Part of me actually wishes they'd do regular-release repaints, just so there's more stuff getting released...

The repaints look nice. I'm getting a "Deep Desert Brawl" vibe from Mur, and the dark Asuka looks really interesting. I might get them, probably not, though. I'm not made of money yet. But someday.

I can't help but feel that was directed towards me even after I apologized, you still needed to throw your "I'm better then you" smart ass 2 cents. I've seen posts on /toy/, SGCollecters and even once on FigureGK about how unfriendly the community is here. Seems to be the case.

As of the repaints, Mur is a definate buy for me, not having owned the previous version. Asuka, meh. I didn't really like the first version, but the repaint makes her look better.

Besides, my favourite thing about Shinkis is that unlike a lot of toylines, there's so much variety that there's something for all sorts of different tastes and styles.
(so long as you like anime girls with bits stuck on, obviously )

I guess that Asuka just fills that very narrow "toys with plane-butt" niche
