tremble, MASTAAs, before the impending revival of the brand name. https://www.konami.com/games/busou-shinki/

just a hunch, I suspect we may not be seeing remakes of most of our girls in this.

I'm praying to god that Konami does not screw this up. I want more info baaaad. Like super duper baaaaaaad... I can't read moonspeak so I can't tell if this is specifically for a game, but the Kotobukiya logo on it at least makes me think they're doing something related to figures

Consolidating various posts.
As has been reported in a few places, there's been some hopeful new developments in the Franchise.

Konami has opened a new Busou Shinki website, and have posted a promo video. They have also started releasing tweets from the Busou Shinki twitter feed for the first time since 2011. Stay Tuned for more news as it develops.

Awesome to see Busou Shinki making a comeback with Kotobukiya as a partner. I hope we'll get a combination of old and new figures, I'd kill for a new version of Eukrante :eukrante:

Went digging through the internet finding the names and works of the designers listed on the latest Busou Shinki banner. Here are their names and some of their more prominent works (at least the ones that I know of and can find):

- Ark Performance (illustrator of Arpeggio of Blue Steel)
- 駒都えーじ (Eiji Komatsu - designer of Frame Arms Girl Hresvelgr and various other works)
- しずまよしのり (Yoshinori Shizuma - designer of Shimakaze, Yukikaze, Yamato and Iowa from Kantai Collection, as well as various other design works)
- 島田フミカネ (Fumikane Shimada - The Big Daddy of mecha musume and Busou Shinki)
- BLADE (designer of Busou Shinki Maochao, Howling, Partio and Pomock. Also artist of several Busou Shinki manga project.)
- 鷲尾直広 (Naohiro Washio - Mechanic Designer from Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-blooded Orphans.)
- 黒銀(DIGS) (Kurogin - artist and designer of Knights & Magic and the Mechanic Designer of Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Reflection)
- neco (designer and illustrator of MG4 from the mobile game Girls Front Line)
- redjuice (illustrator member of supercell and character designer of Guilty Crown)
- ワダアルコ (WADA ARUKO - illustrator of Saber Nero and Caster (Tamamo) from the video game Fate/Extra and Fate Grand/Order
- Zトン (Zetton - illustrator of the Metabots Girls Misson manga)

I believe some of the original Busou Shinki designers will definitely be returning as well, but details are sketchy with nothing concrete at the moment.

This might be a tangent, but I'm wondering if the sudden revival of our beloved franchise has anything to do with this or related articles, and why it's under Konami/Games rather than anything else

http://www.igamingbusiness.com/news/kon ... -reshuffle

A massive shakeup in Konami's executive body announced right around the same time as the Busou Shinki revival announcement? Moving the old blood out of direct control of the company into either the financially-focused parent companies or out of the picture entirely? One wonders...
