It seems, folks, that we are back in business.
At the 2015 Summer Wonfes (currently going on), Kotobukiya had something new to show off.

And it looks like other folks have mentioned it's (probably) a kit, not unlike Frame Arms Girls are. :) I look forward to see what changes is made to the figure body for this!

If they will be reusing molds from the FA:G line, more compatibility with the MSG and FA:G components then
Sounds like the most efficient way, reuse everything they can

Crap. My wallet is not ready for this!

//Already took "Heavy Damage" from the KTKMxOoi combo.

In all seriousness, I wonder if this means that Kotobukiya has bought the copyright from Konami or not. In either case, I'd like to see how they'll deal with Shinki's unique hip joint design - keep the swivel hinge or redesign the whole thing.

Some more details there.

Busou Shinki is coming back but without MMS and rather with a modified version of Apsy's Machineca. Apparently Apsy's still working on perfecting the Machineca, even though it's been several years since he first revealed the prototype. He'd been going around trying to solicit different companies to try and let him mass produce it but so far everyone but Kotobukiya turned their noses up at him, saying it would cost too much and would be impossible.
<snip>
Oh, and they redesigned Strarf too, and she'll likely be releasing WITH the new Arnval. They both look snazzy and I really hope they release artwork for both of them.

Hm...if I'm understanding this right, Koto Shinki are going to have kit bodies, but be compatible with the non-kit Machineca bodies. That's...actually a very good compromise. I'm now considering putting off some of my major projects to use the Machineca base body, and I'll definitely use either that or Koto's base body if they release a new Eukrante.

...I'm so glad these releases should coincide with my wallet having some extra to spare.

someone pinch me! this is real??

if koto bough the rights from Konami then this is going to be awesome!

the only thing i hope is that even if they end up as kits, we dont have to deal with face /head/hair painting, and stickers. the rest i can handle.

now for the other thing: Price!

Well, on that front, I'd assume it would be like the Frame Arms Girls, which come with pre-painted faces. Painting and detailing after that, though, is up to you, though Koto's part separation is usually quite excellent.
