Re: Konami Style Exclusive Battle Masters Mk. 2 PSP Bundle
Yeah, I was expecting it to be a lot (I remember seeing the box for the first bundle when you reviewed it), but I was hoping I'd at least be able to combine it with the fencers and save a bit that way (although that'd be even more of a risk for customs, even with Yokatta marking it down and as a gift).Polenicus wrote:This was expected. The box for the original Battle Masters bundle was enormous... a bit huge black thing that contained two full Shinki boxes, plus an insert BETWEEN them to hold the PSP game package. If you check out my ACO review, you can see how enormous it is.
THIS package will have all of that, plus at least one swimsuit body. The full package is going to be even more.
My shipping is paid, I am merely waiting for notification that it's been sent out. I'll do a side-by-side comparison of them once I have them in-hand. And yes, my original Mark II's are up for grabs.
Still, when I consider that it's technically shipping two full shinkis, a psp game, the two swimsuit bodies, and a CD (I figured that if I was spending crazy money on a bundle like that, I might as well go all-in and get the most impressive version), it's not too bad on a per-item basis. Although I do wish that Europe got the same rates as NA for EMS, like we do for SAL; being on this side of the Atlantic is costing me an extra 800yen or so.
At least the pre-payment Yokatta require worked out in my favour in exchange-rate terms. It would have cost me an extra £25 or so if I'd paid for it now, rather than back in May.

got mine, i was kind disapointed how fragile they were, strarf's sword bent when i went to put it in her hand! but i armed them up in swimsuit bodies, they look great! and my oorbellen lunaria also came, i thought she would be fragile because of her smokey white plastic and she was much more sturdy than either strarf mk2 of arnval mk2, she is truly a flawless and amazing figure to whom i adore! strarf and arnval just scare me a little because of how fragile they are

Well really it all depends on the price you find 'decent'. two figures that'd be maybe $90, a game that'd run you $70 alone (ugh, import games), two bodies $40 each... for the full package, that's about... $330. I think there's a CD in there, too?
