I've thought about this for a while, and I thought, "why not have everyone post their custom ideas here?" . What I'm thinking is that we could make a gigantic list of custom/modding project ideas and we could all help each other make them or at least contribute and polish the ideas.

My personal list:
1. Modding Murmeltier to British Army style.
-I have four pages of drafts and planning on how to work this out. I have trouble getting some elegance out of the Comet and Sherman Firefly, so the thing that is missing here is styling it up a bit.
-Secondly, the remodeled hairstyle and uniform of Murmeltier. I still have nothing besides a beret and the emblem to put on it.
2. Asuka's alternate outfit.This.
3. Unused Shinki concepts (ie, Bear)
4. Strike Witches conversions
Easiest and most obvious to start with is Tomoko.
5. Partio repaint
Really simple though. Two-tone with purple highlights. The two colors though, are the question.
6. Hornisse pistols for shinkis. Complete with pinky-raised hands.

Fighter type MMS unnamed - a mod of Asuka to make her US themed, probably based on Marine Corsairs
Moth type MMS Motte - A repaint of Schmetterling to make her more lolita punk styled.

Xehn: What's Type Livewire going to be about with all those wires?

Xerain: You're gonna use Eukrante for Chise, right?

Caterwaul: I can definitely see the Corsair idea out of Asuka. The only problem is that you have to make gull wings. Have you considered the Wildcat?

Someone on the chat suggested a Type Pirate. For Caterwaul and everyone else, I remember Maririn from Peace@Pieces that looked piratey yet gothic lolita, with a heart-shaped eyepatch.

It was a thought, yes. Could have Eukrante parts + an Arnval head repaint. However I'm not fond of damaging my existing shinki, so I was thinking of getting into resin casting. Make some casts of Eukrante's back piece so I can modify it. I was considering attempting a head sculpt from scratch using super sculpey, then maybe casting that. I've been researching how to do a ball bearing in a head for a while. Maybe I shoudl just use a naked head and make hair...

Xerain: That means you can sculpt the hair to give it a little more volume, and make them look less stiff, which is the problem sometimes with the hair on Arnval and Asuka. I look forward to this, also because it saves me time on making that pale yellow hair that den Arnval (ver 1) has.

I can't think of a good way to explain it, so all I can say is... keep your eyes open. I should at least *try* to rig up an example eventually.

It is still a long term project, though I do intend to try head sculpts eventually. I haven't actually had much sculpting experience, but what I HAVE done has been encouraging. I've progressed rapidly enough where someday doing a head sculpt feels like a realistic goal.

As for shorter term goals, I finally have all the camera equipment necessary to do stop motion...
