Sadly, the pegs on Gundam kits are a little too small to fit Shinki, however, one option is to use epoxy on the current peg to make it wider, and then just file it down to the correct size and shape to fit better.

Another option is to either find a leftover sprue from somewhere and seeing if this is wide enough to use for a peg. Then it's just a case of removing the old peg and attaching the new one. Also most (full set) Shinki come with a sprue of peg things, which would just be a case of filing off one of the pegs and glueing it to the shield. Or filing one of the pegs smaller to fit into a peg hole in the shield if it has one.
I'm planning on using the extra connectors and attaching it to the gundam part in order to fit it to the shinki. =3 Still need a hinge joint so the shields can open and close...>_>
Drango wrote:The last option (should you feel there's a chance you'll want to give Gundam back his shield), which would probably be the biggest hassle to do unless you find its the situation above, is to rig an adapter of some sort together... Though, don't ask me how you'd go about this other than the above mentioned method which would only work if there's a peg hole in the shield and you have a double ended peg you don't mind filing down.

In any case, it's looking really good! I'm looking forwards to seeing anything else you decide to do with this.
I don't think there will be a gundam to accept the shield, if I plan to give it back. XD Gonna use what ever gundam i will get into parts for Shiro...*_*

So um any gundam with a lots of shield? At least 3 shields...>_> Shaped like coffins or similar? <_<

Do these work at all?

In regards to the question 'do they fit' my Dark Arnval is happily clutching a scythe that is meant for a 1/144 robot.

Hmm...-_-; The price is great but.... the design is off...T_T I need long shields, they will also act as a wing..>_>

Um... how tall are O raiser's wings to Shinki? >_>

That would depend on the scale. I reckon the 1/145 scale kit should be about the right size for you:

Size comparison between Shinki (Howling) and 1/145 HG Exia:

But I could be wrong, you might decide that the 1/100 scale kit fits your design better.

Another option could be the likes of this: http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN08658
Shields aren't all that wing like, but a fair bit more coffin shaped. Plus their cheap, 300 to 600 yen each. Plus you'll get a number of other parts to potentially use as armour for either her or other conversions, should you decide to.

Looks good. =3 I think I'll go with the O raiser one since I only need to buy 2 O raisers instead of getting 3 GMs....XD PLus I saw some O raisers on our toy store...>_> I'll check it out this weekend

1/100 might be too big...-_-

I might also remove the claw arm if I couldn't find any...-_-

Thanks! ^_^

If you need a claw-arm, try a kit of the Guren? Link for reference.

Other options available for the claw arm are 1/144 scale Gog, Z'Gok E, or Hy-Gogg kits. I'm sure there are plenty of other kits that have claw arms as well, but those are the ones I've managed to find so far.

The Gurren does indeed have a nice claw arm as well, but it's only for the right arm (I believe you want it for the left arm...?) so unless you mess around with the kit to turn the right arm into a left arm, it might not be such a good choice...

Also, I meant 1/144 scale earlier, not 1/145... Save risking making you look for something that doesn't exist... ^^;;

Looks perfect!! -_- I can fix the thumb to work as a left claw, but I think its too much if I'll just buy it to sacrifice it to Shiro... And I like the Guren. XD

As much as possible I don't want to buy a whole toy just to get 1 small part...XP

Haha I was just gonna ask you about that...XD

I wonder if the cockpit fits for a good leg armor...<_<

Yoink drew a simple sketch based on the comparison between Howling and Exia...>_>
