The MG 42 is a rather large weapon.
Plus add on the extended butt stock and it gets longer. Plus the beta mags are HUGE!

Re: RP88's future projects
It's been a long month but it was a rather busy month. First up are da hands. Jazz hands!
I bought these 1/100 scale Mechanical Hands from Hobby Base from HLJ and a good thing too. They were low on stock.
And after a bit of modifying, the hands fit onto Sgt. Chromedome and the fingers wrapped around the gun and trigger.
And a bit of an update on my house but not much of one. I bought some trim moldings. Need more though.
But the most impressive is this new set I have made up that involves the window section wall of the di-stage ... crap. I can't remember now.
And in this shot, I have installed windows.
And the backside of the wall during construction.
And the wall with flooring done.
At the moment, I am updating my base walls so they can hold together without cloth pins. I may resort to copper tubes and pins but, we'll see. Let me know what you peeps think.

Excuse my French (which is totally required), but holy shit, those foggy windows are fucking amazing, they'd kick ass to simulate foggy nights and snowy days! Diddly!

That's okay. I'm part German. lol. It is some sort of plastic sheeting that we use here a lot for that exact purpose. I could of used clear plastic but the foggy one will make for some interesting photography. The floors I will redo on glossy photo paper to give it a waxed look.

Re: RP88's future projects
Photo paper is really good to simulate stuff like marble (done that with my Black Rock Shooter di:stages), but sometimes the tint will make it matte, so I think the best would be to put a thin transparency over the printed paper.
Are the windows made from tracing paper?

Too thin and fragile. I'll have to get back on you on that. I just used it out of scraps.

Re: RP88's future projects
And it's time for a great update.
The homemade yukata has came off.
And a new one arrived.
And wow, does she look great.
And it came with the broom.
So, for sake of my comic series, Reycal has became Mia.

Re: RP88's future projects
It's time to check my head again. I present to you a new project!
That's right. I am building a small shinto shrine. Currently, I am making the haiden, where worshippers to go offer their prayers to the kami or deity's. This one will be dedicated towards neko kami's.
This will be a large building in terms of its height thanks to its massive roof that is too large to draw on the graph paper that I have.
The walls are double layers of glued cardstock 110 pound paper.
And are crudely assembled like this.
Mia, my Reycal with the miko's kimono on, is a happy girl.
So much for being happy. Well, the holes for the doors and windows have been cut out. Should of done this first.
And Mia presents the front wall that is 75% done. More as I continue.

Re: RP88's future projects
And another update.
The outside trim is painted and done.
The inside trim and the deck are done.
And poor Mia. Her job is never done. Now she has to clean up my mess.
Her new job title should be shrine maid.
I am making this as a prototype to sell on ebay for $200 USD. If goes well, the walls on those will be made out of styrene and better wood. If I sell two, then my collection and then start to grow; starting with the Full Puni Tomoe and the figma Hakurei Reimu. With that, I will start to build other portions of a complete shinto temple and maybe rent my own space out. Maybe that's all too much but that is the plan. More updates as I go along.

Re: RP88's future projects
Update time again!
The deck being built.
And work on the front wall. THIS was very time consuming to do.
And the basic building is done.
And the deck is done.
And time to show Mia throughout the shrine.
With the bottom done, I am now in the process of building the roof for it. Updates as I go along.
