Re: RP88's future projects
Jin's guides are good, even though he tends to rename stuff and claim he's the inventor of a well known method (He's a cool guy either way)
I had never thought about using glue as topcoat, even though I've used it for similar stuff (made Naru's head adapter stronger, coating the epoxy in cement). But be warned that super glue is CRAP. What you want is modeling cement, preferably thin with a brush to apply. It'll be like painting and contrary to glue, modeling cement won't make stuff brittle nor cause those white stains.
This is my joint-thickening, paint-protecting buddy:

The downside will be that you'll only be able to have a gloss topcoat.

Re: RP88's future projects
I'd imagine a coat of clear-coat would work just as well plus, isn't one running the risk of accidentally gluing the joints.

They're completely different components. Modeling cement turns rock hard, you'll need a knife to scrape it, it won't rub off from positioning the figure like a top coat does.
As for glueing joints, all you have to do is be careful and if cement makes 2 moving parts touch and you want cement there, keep moving the part. I use this method to tighten joints sometimes.

Re: RP88's future projects
Har har har! I'm back baby! This time with some juicy updates.
I just love green stuff and paint.
For my brothers Kampfer Girl, I and him will be painting up the weapons. Here is what I have started so far.
And I think Howling has forgotten something.
The decking is done and will be sanded within the week. Construction of the walls will begin shortly after. I have bought two more figures and will post on the thread "Fun with Figma's" as soon as they arrive. This Friday, I will begin hunting for furniture for the house as well as post a new part of my comic series "Hopes and Dreams". So, until then, have fun and be safe.

Re: RP88's future projects
And the battle for the master bedroom has come to a temporary truce with Saber confiscating ALL of their hidden weapons.
Despite her broken arm, Haruhi still has a bad sense of humor. Poor Mikuru.
Okay. If I don't get my wall material in by this upcoming February, I will build the walls and roof out of ... LEGOES! Thus making this my BIGGEST project yet. As for my story problem, I will use a revoltech EVA as a monster since by all rights, an EVA is a biomechanical monster that requires a pilot to tame it. As for the horse, does anyone have any spare revoltech joints they can spare?

Re: RP88's future projects
Aaaannnnnnnnd HELLO 2012! With my first post of the new year comes major updates and I do mean MAJOR!
What we have here besides all 5 of my girls are the steps to the porch.
And from today. I was real busy with this one today.
THE RAILING IS IN and it is ... good. Could of been better but I LOVE this angle.
And until next time my friends and fellow shinki fans, peace.

Re: RP88's future projects
When it comes to clothing, it is EXTREMELY hard to find anything. I am preparing to get pants, skirts for the current strike witches figma's that I will eventually get (Lynette has been introduced in the comic in week 65.) Any help, please?

Re: RP88's future projects
You mean kitbashing figma parts? If so, just take a look at all the releases and take your pick
http://www.figma.jp/products/products.html
Or you could get someone to sew some.

Re: RP88's future projects
I was thinking of getting some pants or skirts for the current and possible future strike witches figma's. Kitbasjing for figures is a bit extreme. I'll think of something. Does anyone make clothing that fits besides azone?

Re: RP88's future projects
Even Azone's are too big, since figma aren't really really 1/12.
There are no decent mass produced clothes for action figures.
The closest to professional clothes you can get are the ones from some amazing craftspeople on YJA, but those are so pricy that you'd be better off buying figma for kitbashing.
There's always the amateurs, we have some in this very forum.
