Cardboard? You must have one heck of a great printer. It looks so ... real with the speakers behind the screening.

I got a new display cabinet last week and have relocated my papercraft and some other stuff...
The top shelf, centerpiece: Kirakisyou
Second shelf, centerpiece: Hatsune Miku
Third shelf, with a few misc. papercraft
Bottom shelf, bootlegs (yeah, I know...) and some of my larger figma accessories (storage shelves coming soon...)
Now, onto the vacant top shelf of my old cabinet. I've already built some accessories, and here is another set;
Giant bass speakers
And here is my concert stage, at 25% completion:
I'm focusing more on the accessories and stage equipment first before finishing the actual stage itself.
As you can see, I've got my work cut out for me.
I'm also gonna complete the K-On! band, and if possible... get a Sharatang!

Vertical stage trusses for my line array speakers;
Made from barbecue skewers and super glue. Gonna paint tomorrow.

Love bbq skewers. They are a very tough and stain, paint real easy. Plus they are nice and round.

Been almost a month since my last post here... and my concert stage is finally looking like one!
Here are the vertical trusses made from barbecue skewers, primed and hung out to dry.
Two of the trusses are to support the line array speakers. Here I temporarily used some black cardstock strips in place of the chains (gotta buy some soon) that hold the speakers.
Here's what I have now... the trusses at the back are gonna support some large tv screens and possibly some lighting. The stage floor is up next for construction.

I swear, I'm looking at a professional miniature modeler's work here.
With a bit of weathering on those trusses (probably some darker grayish dry-brushing) they'll look like real metal.

Thanks, though my current skills are far from pro (thus the term "semi-pro"
).
Finally got to painting the stage itself... (pls. don't mind the messy bed
)
Why gray? Well, most small concert stage floors are in the darker colors (unless they're made of light-colored wood) and I want the entire theme to be 'rock'
and not the bright stages commonly seen in Vocaloid videos.
I ought to continue with the stage equipment, since I'm expecting Mio and Mugi soon...

Looks awesome. I could never imagine myself being able to do anything at such a large scale and make it look good. Can't wait to see it completed.
