A friend of mine has recently gotten into Busou Shinki, and has developed a liking for them. Specifically, he's also developed a liking for their customizability and potential for creating custom figures.

He has a custom character of his that's kind of become his signature. He's gotten scads of artwork done of her, and now he'd like to try and get a custom figure of her, and he and I think an MMS would be an excellent starting point.

Naturally, he understands that this will require some expense, namely of buying the source figures, on top of the commission costs.

Here's the figure: Her name is Ran, and she's a rather buxom jagwere.

A friend, suuuuure... Seriously though, on FG-Site, there is a modeler who used an MMS Naked as a base to create a figure based on the catgirl from Breath of Fire II. End result looked a lot like 'Ran' there. Even though the notes are in Japanese, he should have a few pointers on making a similar fig. If you give me a bit, I can dig up the link.

Oh, Ran's name is totally unrelated to the kitsune from Touhou, right?

I doubt she's related to Touhou, as Ran has been around for a lot of years. He even has a Deviantart site for all the commissions he's gotten done:

Found the custom shinki. Like I said, all the modeler's notes are in Japanese, but it's a start at least.

Shinkis appear to take well to customization, as anybody who clicked that link to a picture of a jaw dropping custom in Cbox likely knows. Of course, that custom was mainly using parts from gundams to make battle gear.

Still looking to see if any one can fulfill this order Pol? I'm guessing starting with a white body, some sculpty for ears, just don't really know what head I'd use...

For myself it would be, say 150 + base figures.
