Strike Witches Figma! Finally! And now AGP too...

For discussion of all the other girl+mecha lines that have cropped up since Shinki began: Frame Arms: Girls, Megami Device, Armor Girls Project, Desktop Army, etc. This includes kinda-sortas like Daibadi's Polynian and things like Strike Witches and Fumikane's original Mecha Musume.

^For the season 2 strikers and shield effects, probably? If it were me, I'd do the same though....

Exactly. The Shinden-Kai was an awesome striker and plus there is the shield and gun fire effect that would be very spiffy to use in photo comics and stop motion vids.

As much as the shield and gun effects would be nice for those kinds of things, even if I had the money I wouldn't buy the AGP since they're individually more expensive than a comparable figma and it's just not worth it to me. Especially when the only piece I actually NEED that I can't replicate through image editing software is the shield as nowhere online can I find a basic outline of those things.

I think what he means are the individual shield types of the witches.

Perhaps Humikane doesn't like russian aircraft..? :P i dunno....

Anyway regarding the AGPs, are the faces still "dirty" like the other AGP releases?

Also, do the AGP strikers fit the figma legs?

It seems that the AGP Striker units look better in terms of detail, than the Figma ones..

1. All I have AGP's is the Gundam WIng girl prior to my two Strike Witches and I have no idea what you mean by "dirty" faces.
2. I heard on here that no, the AGP strikers do not fit onto figma's to well and true the other way around. In that turn, it's easier to slip the strikers onto the legs with the AGP's. I once heard that the Strike Witch figma's are great for characters as gear, the AGP's excel. The type 99-2's are fantastic looking as are the strikers but not to crazy over how the characters are sculpted. They lack some flair; I can't really describe it. At least Sakamoto looks better in person than in the official pics I've seen. The figma's are beautifully sculpted but the strikers and the weapons appear to be slightly lacking. I will prove my point when they release Lynette. By the way, does any one have Hartmann and/or Barkhorn? Can't really recall.

That is something I've noticed with most of bandai's collector-aimed products. The product looks better than initial painted prototype photos.

You don't collect much Bandai, do you? :P
Quality control is a major issue, but sometimes they'll even downgrade looks (most noticeable ones recently were Saint Cloth Myth EX Mu and Milo, which have resculpted faces which look like crap compared to the prototypes).
Figuarts Zero also have weird faces.
