Actually that's an SDF base, not a village, her master serves there and she secures the perimeter.

With those wild dogs / wolves around she has a tough job, but she does it well.

Interesting that the opening scene didn't show their joints/screwholes at all, but after the OP they're present, just very light.

I thought the end of the episode was kind of touching. If they really had run out of battery power after the battery pack fell in the river it would have been tragic. Of course, this isn't that kind of show so they were saved.
