Well, after watching it I can say that was a lot better than last week's ep. While it still had fanservice it took the backseat to a more interesting adventure.

Mary and Inaeria appearance, nice!

Seems like Mao and Howl are the 'Team Rocket' of this show.

interestingly enough ach and yda (or should i say... naru and nanoha?) ended up being victims of the moment... i wonder if they are going to find a master for themselves... because the way i understood this episode, the shinki robber accidentally awakened them...


i'll wait for the subs to come out and see if i was right or not.

I can see four alternartives to Ach and Yda masterless solution.

1. The worst solution.
Still masterless, ends up running out of battery and missing from action (oh god, please no. I love both of them).

2. The unknown master solution.
Find a master but never seen or known in the anime. May come back.

3. The rouge shinkis.
Still masterless, but keep coming back to visit Rihito's house in the name of charging (free of charge of course) and possibly stirring up some trouble with Hina and Ines.

4. They are mine.
Rihito adopted them and add the two into his har...cough...family and the number of shinkis rise from 4 to 6...means more trouble and fanservice xp.

But yeah, maybe waiting for the sub is better...maybe I misunderstood something here.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned the nunchucking Hina, she was absolutely hilarious.

Well, from the way I watched the episode the thief activated Yda and Ach as a distraction so he ran. I want to see which way it is, if he accidentally activated them or if he activated them then fed them a bunch of bull of stopping Hina and Eukrante as fake-thieves.

As for Yda and Ach finding their Master? Think they'll pop in every now and again only to borrow from a Shinki shelter or similar. Maybe even pop into Rihito's house to party at times.

Aren't we getting a bit ahead of ourselves with Laneira and Mary? No ep 3 discussion and we're already talking about ep 4 racing stuff .

How did you pull a surprise attack on ME, the second place victor of last year's Busou Shinki tournament?!

Ach and Yda were not accidentally activated. Since the thief made a noise with the broom, he used those two to cover his escape, misleading them into thinking that they were supposed to be fighting against shinki sent by the "real" MMS thieves.

Remember, upon first activation, any shinki will listen to what their master tells them, but here there's an additional "unless actual evidence proves otherwise" giving them more dimension than the ones in the game.

Even if Rhito doesn't adopt them, I hope those two would show up often. Looking forward to the race ep next week.

On an unrelated note, Clara seems like this show's resident Akaza Akari, lol. Only Hina actually takes her seriously. The rest...
