Custom Armor Configurations

Busou Shinki are a lot of things. They're cute, badass, expressive, even a little sexy. But you know what I really love about them? They're modular! They all have a suggested "default" armor setting, but the instructions suggest you try different configurations to see what suits you.

I wanna see what suits you. What cool things have you done (or found done) with Shinki armor? Maybe you mixed some parts up from different sets. Maybe you reconfigured a ground-based suit into a flier. Maybe you have a configuration that you use and like better than the default. Maybe you found a way to make the armor into its own separate entity for use or storage when it isn't protecting its owner.

I've got a few ideas in my head, but for now only have Xiphos, who (along with her sister Beino, I assume) is perhaps the least modular of the bunch. I'm going to post a few I found at various places on the Internet. Who knows? It just might give someone some ideas!

(Oh, and HARD MODE: Only one of any given suit. It's cool to see crazy Bankai-esque stuff made out of 5 Eukrantes, but most of us can't actually build that...)

This one's obvious: Dragon type armor made from Graffias and Vespilio.

Xehn, you've got some great stuff! I wonder how the Stradalemobile would look with regular Ach and Yda...? I was debating whether or not I should try to hunt them down (Eukrante was bad enough!), but the more I see, the more I like... Your Graffias dragon mode was pretty cool too; I'll definitely have to try that when I get mine. But my favorite is "Zeo the Risen." That takes (as far as I can see) Graffias, Strarf Bis, and Eukrante, right? One of the things I wanted to do was see how many dragons I could come up with, and that's a great base to build off!

Chaos Incarnate, if I'm not mistaken, you're responsible for the randomness that is Prime Time, right? I've been meaning to get back to that... I saw your latest with the arguing Grimlocks and then started from the beginning. I got as far as Arnval's dream and took a break. I recently purged my history, so I don't remember exactly what panel that was (going by your flickr), but I guess I need to figure it out if I want to see something that sounds as awesome as an Arnval/Strarf buster cannon!

So I recently got Arnval Tranche 2 and I absolutely adore her. Really, she's great. I even started working on my own creation so I could actually start contributing to my own freakin' topic. But something went horribly wrong...

Those with Arnval: you know how the wing parts have those long pegs so they can go through a piece before they connect to the wing tips? Well, figuring it was on a peg, I tried to twist one of them to get a different look. As it turns out, that part wasn't meant to twist. Now Arnval either goes wingless or Sephiroth style, which doesn't work for her at all. ;_;

Has anyone ever fixed a Shinki? I know a lot of glues deteriorate plastics. I had some Testor's plastic model cement that I used for a Gundam, but I don't think it's strong enough for Arnval's wing. I have a Michal's Craft Supply and the Internet at my disposal. Can anyone recommend me a good plastic glue?

You might want to try using a 2 part epoxy glue.
