I just did a quick Google image search, and I can see why you suggested that. Ther armour does look somewhat Busou Shinki-esque.

In fact, with the right parts, it probably wouldnt be too hard to custom build that armour.

I've seen it a long time ago. The character designs are by the same guy who did the Gundam Girls, so it's a bit similar to Shinkis. Their ancestors in a way.
