I'm interested but I have no proxy service nor any ability to read Japanese.

It'll be a few years before I'll get a chance to actually go to Japan, and by then they'll probably be long gone.

Actually AmiAmi is in Japan. I think you are thinking of Angolz which is in Hong Kong

Basically a proxy service is a middleman. There is a list of online stores/proxy services here. Some sites are pretty basic where you just email a link of what Japanese item you want, then they respond with the total cost to send it to you. Other sites might specialize in Yahoo! Japan auctions and you can search for an item in English and it will give you the items just like eBay. I've personally used Rinkya and have been quite satisfied with their service (eventhough it has been listed as "avoid at all costs"; I don't know why). One good thing with Rinkya is if the item is ¥1000 or under there is no commission. You just pay the $15 shipping fee for the seller to ship to their warehouse. You have to have the item shipped to a Japanese address; the seller usually won't ship overseas. Plus they check out the item to make sure that it is what you ordered and package it up to ship it to you. From time to time in the past, I've seen shinki figures (no armor or whatsoever) go for as little as ¥360 (approx $5) plus the $15 shipping fee gets you just a figure body for around $20; still less than the usual going price for a blank these days. However if you are looking for something more than ¥1000 then it is probably better to use a different proxy service instead of Rinkya.

Will Juvisy or Zyrdarya work with Waffe Dolphin?

...yes. Any Shinki that has been released, save for Partio, Pomock, Kohiru or Merienda, will work with any EX set.

sorry for all the seemingly dumb questions, I'm new to collecting and of course right now I only own Marienda and the Waffe Dolphin armor.

I can use my spare Valona Head on a Type 3 body right? That will make it so much easier to make my custom.

Yeah, head swaps shouldn't be a problem, just chest pieces, lower leg pieces, and "backpacks."

Which MMS 3rd best matches Valona's skin tone?
