since i have been collecting shinkis I have come across a few questions.
These questions come from a question that was asked of me.

Are there such things as "Fake shinkis"? (not talking about custom shinkis)
And
Do all shinkis come (unopened) with there stationary gun hands?
I realize that the shinki line is sealed with normal tape so it's not impossible to
(use/Display) the figure and simply re-tape it.

So the last question would have to be


How many peices of tape were used seal the shinki boxes when they were brand new?
(so far i have some across boxes that have been sealed with at least 6 peices of tape
(3 on top, 3 on the bottom) )

1. There have been recasts of Shinki parts available on Taobao, and a while back we had a rash of "factory rejects" available. The former should be easy to tell apart, and the latter, as far as we can tell, are real Shinkis stolen off the factory line by a worker; current theory is that that's partially responsible for the current lack of Shinki, as Konami needs to go find a new factory. However, I haven't heard of any bootleg Shinki, if that's what you mean by fake.
2. Yes. All Shinki that I know of come with four gun-holding hands with the trigger finger pointing almost straight out; one pair jointed, one pair fixed.
3. No clue.
