How do you see your shinki and MMS collection?

Kay, I'm in silly mode these days, so why not throw fuel to the fire :schmetterling:

Joke aside, I'm curious to the others opinion of their collection. I do know that some people treat them just like a normal disposeable thing or on the other extreme, lover. And I do know that some people oggle on their collection.

Seeing that some people in here have a massive collection of shinkis and MMS, I wonder about their opinion.

Please remember that all in here is opinion so don't make this topic a flaming battlefield.

So, anyone care to share your opinion?

I'd say like flatmate. Each has her own life, and while they do need me for some things, they each got their own want and needs.

For me they're collectors' figures and I'm a serious collector who cares for the figures, but only as precious objects. Though I'm not sure if they come alive when I'm sleeping, which is why I sleep in another room to avoid being abused by them. (Ok, not Shinkis, but 1/3 dolls are scary)

There has been another topic on this matter btw.

As my showoff thread implies, I consider every figure I own as a member of my harem.

My methods of appreciating them are no different from orthodox collectors though.

Pretty & Moe room decors for me :arnval: :schmetterling: :fortbragg: :strarf: :vitulus: :tsugaru: :ianeira:

I also tend to use them as references and sources of inspiration when I do my crappy ugly anime illustrations. :nanner:

I just think they're a cute line of figures that are fun to base characters around. :) I love how cute they are, so I rarely put them in armor that obscures their face.

I consider the Shinkis and Figmas as just more figures that are in my collection...though I'd be lying if I said that part of me doesn't consider them to be a part of my family that I have to protect (that kind of happens when you buy $80+ Japanese figures that are hard to replace). Each of them has their own personality and their own relationships with everyone else in my collection.

I kinda see them like children. I protect them, take excessive amounts of photos of them, and buy them little clothes. Pretty sure that qualifies them as children.
