Do any places in the US (esp. Texas) carry Shinkis?

Post by Yzz » Sat Nov 06, 2010 9:24 pm

Hi there, first post.
So...I've heard that Shinkis seem to turn up at animecons. Does anyone know if there are any stores, particularly in Texas, that sell any Busou Shinki figs?

At some point in time yes. Konami did in fact release to USA through (I forget who) 6 figures.
Nowadays I don't know... :maochao:
I looked on Ebay and did find some (stateside) vendors of imports.

helpful or not?

Thanks, IG. There are a few US vendors on ebay and amazon, but I was hoping there were maybe some places stateside where you could walk into a store and pick up a Shinki... Thanks, though :schmetterling:

I've been wondering that myself....I've just been going to comic stores, hoping I stumble on one that holds ANY shinkis. The only clue I've had is that someone on TFW bought Mao Chao from a comic store chain called Newbury Comics. I went there during a trip to Boston, nice place, but no sign of any Shinkis. (If you really want to go and look, they only operate in New England)

and sadly my local comic store doesn't carry them either. Though they did have BOME Collection figures last year. So I'm not entirely without hope for such things...

I've heard on tfw2005 that sometimes crop up at anime conventions, I was even thinking of going to one just to check if there were any Shinkis there...

But a $45 pass just to look for shinkis is beyond my means.

There must be some comic stores that sell them, though. Somewhere. :maochao:

Yeah, I had the same thing happen while at a few comic stores. Got Superion and Black Rock Shooter.

That's not the problem. There are stores that carry Shinki (I've probably passed one); the trick is finding one close enough to where you live. As in, the same state. :D

I should go inquire at my local comic shop (Fandemonium) to see about busou shinki and other anime merchandise...
Maybe I'll get lucky again... :maochao:

If they get Previews, have them check through Alliance. They were the ones distributing Shinkis through the US Comic market, so they might still have some in stock. Worth a shot, anyways.
