Oh, didn't know about that event. The day with Shinki artists at Comiket was on day 1. The event in the blog was called Comiket "Off" Meeting and on day 3. It was probably held off-site somewhere nearby.

Nearby events at the same time as Comiket are common since Comiket attracts so many people (about 450,000). Like there is always a big cosplay event held about 5 minutes from Comiket at Tokyo Fashion Town at the same time called TFT "Tonari de" (next door) Cosplay. A lot of cosplayers do both events.

Go to Comiket on the day with your genre's artists (day 1) and then go to a separate specialized event held nearby on one of the other days (day 3). It's a good plan and works well. Too bad I didn't know about the nearby Shinki event on day 3 ^^;

"A Day In Odaiba"

Odaiba is an artificial island in Tokyo Bay. It really has that "The Year Is 2040" feel to it so I thought Odaiba would be a great place to spend my day off running around taking Shinki pictures.
It seems I wasn't alone in thinking Odaiba would be good for this purpose as I ran into a few cosplayer groups using the scenery as a more futuristic backdrop for their photo shoots.

Our people. We are everywhere ;)

At least they're talking now... Right? ^^;

As you can tell from all the blown over bicycles... It was a windy day. Many lessons were learned and Lirubi received lots of maintenance later...

My first time seeing Tokyo Big Site empty >.>

Image
Of course she had to go down to the garden.

Image
I never realized Tokyo Big Site could be so... Relaxing.

Image Image
Ok, it's really hard to see (I really need to get a camera), but the white thing to the left of the big ferris wheel is Mount Fuji.
It was one of those rare days when you can actually see Fuji-san from Tokyo.

Image Image
Since she rode into Tokyo Big Site, Lirubi demanded to walk down the special Shinki stairs when we left. She regretted that (the orange cone is the halfway point)...

Image
So she decided to ride again after that lol

Image
To her surprise, Lirubi got to meet her hero! Didn't realize shinki have a secret "Fan Girl Mode" that can be unlocked...

Image
She then sat down and watched her hero from afar... While I looked in vain for a food stand.

Image Image
Time to head back to the hotel so we went to the subway and wound up in a train car all by ourselves! Shinki pictures go!

And back at the hotel...

Lirubi isn't accepting Zel... It seems I've underestimated the power of the Lirbiete default personality.
I think I'm going to have to go find a Vervietta before it's too late >.>

Looks like you guys had tons of fun out and about. Poor Zel though. Hopefully she'll be accepted eventually.

I got Lirubi back in February 2013, so she's been my only girl for almost 2 years. It occurred to me being the "only" Shinki for so long would naturally incur some jealousy as I think it would for just about anyone.
However, the default Lirbiete personality is... well... jealous of all things female. Including cockroaches >.>

So things are a bit complicated lol. A solution is in the works though. Since a Vervietta is the default big sister of Lirbiete she is good at controlling her... *cough* tendencies :fubuki:

I'm going to have to make sure to get Belle a sister long before this happens.

Neat pics!

And poor Zel... I really do hope that getting Lirubi's default big sister will help her learn to accept Zel and any other Shinki you might collect.

Ageha (My Lirbiete) fortunately doesn't have any jealousy tendency. Probably because she arrived where there are a numbers of girls already and I got her together with her sister Tateha (Vervietta).

So far, I notice that Ageha always listens to Tateha advices. Though Ageha has that strange bloodlust killing intent in battle/training, but Tateha always able to control Ageha's attitude.

The problem comes when Tateha is the one is distress...and since Tateha is a big coward, she tends to cry a lot...which means killing intent on the loose.

It's complicated.

But yeah, hopefully with her big sister around, Lirubi willing to tone down her hostility...That is IF she is willing to accept her big sister after two years separated.

"Conflict Resolution"

Thank you all for the encouragement!

Before heading out for more photos with Lirubi... I have to try and resolve the Lirubi / Zel issue >.>

Image
Ok... So I couldn't find a Viervietta... (to think she really is that much more popular than Lirbiete ><;)

Well, it occurred to me that I needed to make sure that Zel never got left at home alone. You see, sometimes with my work I may only be able to take 1 shinki.
Of course Zel is well suited for taking care of herself, but for 6 months or a year?
And what if I'm able to take 2 shinki, but not 3? Guess I need 4 so there is always a pair together!
Well, I thought it was a good idea anyway...
