And I'm back! Sorry for the unexpected hiatus, some pretty serious RL issues popped up out of nowhere...

At least I was able to do something, and now I present to you...

MMS Type Paladin - Griselda







A gray MMS body would have been nice to have, but no dice. So I painted Zelda's base body gray, and her armor aluminum silver. No multicolored or sentai-colored armors here, medieval silver armor is where its at! Short cape is because she is a rider (Fuunsaiki's articulation is already modded, just need to repaint), fabric will be replaced if I get a better type.







Now for the helm... I did a LOT of trial and error to make this. I started off with paper and moved on to thin plastic, and used her hair to lock the helm in place.



I thought I won't be making any more custom weapons, until I found... chains! This flail I made out of crafting beads and a gunpla runner piece for the grip. Now I'm having thoughts of future custom weapons with chains (kusari-gama, nunchucks, etc.).

However, she doesn't have a shield... no self-respecting paladin doesn't have a shield! So I ought to find her one, or make one, whichever comes first. Any suggestions, anyone?

Well, what style are you looking for? A round buckler or a large roman or in between? I have a few ideas already brewing for my figma Saber as well as a sword strap for Excaliber so she isn't constantly holding it. There are several styles from each medieval nation and throughout time as materials changed and weapons became stronger.

I immediately thought "Saint Seiya!" when I saw that silver armor.

As for shield ideas, I would recommend a Zaku Warrior's binder shield. But then again, all I have for reference are the Zakus on my desk. HG GP02's shield might be a bit cumbersome for a shinki.
