So far, I've got 6 shinkis. Noir, my Strarf, is the only one with a name, and to be fair, all of them should have names of their own. Plus, calling them by their 'personalized names' are easier than using their shinki model names, IMO.
  • Strarf = Noir
  • Howling = Laika
  • Espadia = Kei
  • Lancamento = Rui
  • Oorbellen = Maya
  • Zielbellen = Rina

Is it just me, or does she have a little trouble gripping that sword?

What about name tags, like in kindergarten?

Well, she is... the sword is quite heavy, and the molded part where I connect the wrist peg came loose (dried putty had air holes... T_T), my bad... Gonna redo Kei's and Rui's wrist sockets soon. Luckily, Noir and Laika didn't have those problems.

Time to build Rui's ligh armor set, starting with the legs.

Image
I used Tieren Taozi's legs in Rui back then, unpainted and with only a little modification. This time, I'm using only the lower legs. Why reuse 'em? 'Cause I want Rui's new set to retain the look of a heavy gunner, and that means, a wide, steady base.

Image
I tore apart the insides to fit in the shinki legs, and stuck two pieces of sprues from gunpla runners as connectors. The front is slightly thicker than the back sprue, and if done correctly should fit the leg snugly.

Like this...

Add paint and a couple of big back-mounted guns (one of Virtue's cannons and Throne Ein's folding big gun), and here's what I have.

Combination Attack!!! Funny how I used Throne parts on both of these girls...

That wraps up my current light armor to do list. Maya and Rina (my fencers) are already light armors, and I love how they look, so I don't think I'll be modifying their armors, at least not in the near future.

Look who I just got...

sweet. ^_^ \m/
Do you have any ideas for custom armor for her or are you just leaving her as her bad-tempered punk-rock self?

I had a little problem with Baby Razz's light switch... you see, it's supposed to turn on the moment you insert the key, turn clockwise a bit to turn off, then turn clockwise a bit more for the slow blinking effect. Mine didn't do the steady light function, and I just had to investigate.

Taking the battery compartment/switching part is simple enough, just one screw for the battery cover and two more for the body. After removing the everything, here's what I found...

Image

Image

There are two tiny pressure switches inside, one for the steady light and the other for the slow blinking effect. The former wasn't soldered properly (see arrow) and is therefore disconnected from the rest of the circuit. There's supposed to be a bit of plastic holding the switch in place, but it's broken off... such poor QC on the maker's part. So, I soldered it back in and secured it with glue, then tested before putting it back together.

After all that, Baby Razz's light functions are working properly, and she is now ready to glow and light my way whenever darkness comes. >_<

Oh, and I've given her a name... Ayu.
