No, there's no short-hair option. The jointed long-hair piece is just removable. It'l look fine from the front, but the back is going to be ugly.

Probably wouldn't be too hard to build/modify a custom short-hair piece to attach there, though (Arnval mk.1's short-hair piece might be a good base for it, or you could just go for a fully-custom piece if you can sculpt at all).

Very cute pics! I especially love the clothes on them. Should try and get some more money into my PayPal account so that I can see about getting some new clothes for my Shinkis (either that or learn to sew my own, since my mom got a sewing machine).
