Re: kintaro's shinkis
I still felt bad about Mana not getting a yukata like the rest of my girls, so...
Just another day, girls chatting as usual.

"Master, you called me?"
"Yeah, I got something for you."

"Here."
"??!"

"Master, what is the meaning of this?"
"Well, it's an armor. A Swimsuit Armor. It's made specifically for your model, so I thought you might like one."

"Hey, what about the rest of us?!"
"Err, I'm working on it..."
(This is how you go from missing 1 yukata to missing 4 swimsuits, especially an MMS 3rd Small for certain impatient someone. Challenge accepted though.)

K: "Do you suppose something like that would suit me?"
...
M: "Master, may I have my regular attire back, please?"

"Sure, here you go."
"It's... back."

Slightly shaken by the whole experience, Mana decided to do something constructive. No, really.

(That thing is supposedly compatible with 1/144 scale, but it's pretty massive and it has an actual motor inside, so it weighs almost as much as Mana. I'm quite surprised she can hold it like that in her unarmored form.
"Strarfs are the strongest," she says.)
Apparently Kotobukiya makes mean power tools. Now we just need a drill and maybe a router?

Done. Of course, this still needs upholstering...

...and a reclining mechanism of some sort?
But it works for now.

Re: kintaro's shinkis
That is awesome. You're Lavina took very well to being given a swimsuit. Also very creative on the couch. I might try something similar. Always adorable updates. Keep it up.

Re: kintaro's shinkis
This is just Greta playing model (and giving me an excuse to play with my new lens).

Re: kintaro's shinkis
So I finally got around to finishing that bow and arrows I promised Kureha a long time ago.
Only 3 arrows for now.

Time to try them out.
The target is ready.

and the spectators have gathered.

First arrow.

Traditional archery is said to be a form of standing meditation where one's thoughts are focused on the tip of one's arrow and the target.

And so the arrow is released.

Not bad.

Not bad at all.

The spectators are impressed (for the most part).

The second arrow.

Kureha has a bow as part of her armor for a reason.

This time even Mana and Yuki are impressed.

The last arrow. Will she be able to improve her result even further?

And...

Huh?!

As for the arrow...

Well, this was unexpected. On the other hand, ninjas will be ninjas.

"Please forgive my interference. I thought that I could catch it and my body moved before I realized. Your arrow..."

"It's all right, you don't need to worry about it. And this arrow is now yours, you earned it with your skill."

"But you can still shoot it..."
"No, I want you to keep it."

"I really must apologize for my behavior..."
"Stop it, please. You are my sister, you don't need to be this formal."

"But...."
"It's all right."

"..."
"..."

Surprisingly Mana took quite a bit of interest in this accidental "mini-drama". I guess being around the other four every day caused some changes to her default personality?
In the evening.

I hope she's not planning on taking it to the cradle with her. Oh, who am I kidding...

They are so cute, really! *____*
Re: kintaro's shinkis
"Master, what are you making?"
"Well, I'm trying to make a chair. For you, actually."

"For me? But... why?"
"You know how your long hair gets in the way when you try to sit on something with a high back? Or how you can't put your feet on the ground when you sit on a parts box because it's a little too high? I thought I'd make something that would be more comfortable for you."

"But this doesn't look like a chair at all?"
"Well, that's because I haven't made anything yet."

"Can I watch?"
"Sure."

"Is it starting to look more like a chair to you?"

"N-Not really..."

"How about now?"

"But... how would I sit on it?"
"Still getting there. Actually, let's make sure I got the sizes right. Let me rig something so you can try it out."

"So, how is it?"

"I guess it's a little... too high?"

"How about now?"
"I think this is better."

A little later.
"Now let's try it with some padding. What do you think?"
"It's... softer."

Some time later.
"Well, this is it. I know it's not much to look at, I hope it's comfortable at least. Let's call it the first attempt?"

"It is comfortable..."

"Master, let me clean this up..."
"Nah, it's okay, don't worry about it."

As I start picking up bits of leather, she climbs into my hand.
"What is it, Patricia?"
"..."

"This is... the first thing you have made for me. Thank you..."
"You are very welcome. I'm sorry it took me so long."

The moment of peace was not meant to last.
"MASTER!! How come she gets a chair and we don't?!"
"Don't worry, I'll make one for you too. For all of you."
"But why did she have to be the first?!"

"We can sit on it together like this..."
Patricia defuses the situation in her own way.

Y: "Do you think we could share a chair in this manner as well?"
K: ".............."
M: "This is a completely unnecessary luxury. Standard-issue parts container is perfectly adequate!"

Wouldn't be surprised if you eventually get a full living room set complete for everyone.

My love for Harumi goes THIS far. Accomplished 2012/08/17.
