I know it's been said before, but do the world a favor and go get yourself hired by an action figure company. You're churning out professional-grade work on a regular basis. The only real complaint I have with any of the figures is that Laika's wrist-mounted vulcan barrels extend too far; they run the chance of getting damaged when she uses the pilebunker. It's not too bad, and I've seen worse on official Gundams.

I'd say my favorite of the recent ones is Griselda. You really nailed the look there; the shield is awesome, and overall she just looks very heavy, like someone in full armor should.

*picks up jaw from floor* There is only one word for this, and it is EPIC. No matter what, that is the only truth on this thread. I love what you do with these girls - you've even made me want to get a Howling thanks to your Laika, as well as modding some Gunpla myself.

As I said on my humble thread in the Creativity Corner, I'm thinking about using Reborns, namely the legs, 'wings' and arms. Any tips?

Far too long since my last post... I've got a couple of month's net connection problems and a ton of work overtime to thank for that.

Wow! Impressive, your armor from gunpla match with Busou Shinki perfectly. These give me inspiration for my girl's armors.

I think, if you attach some decal such as "Caution" "Warning" like katoki hajime style, they will have more great details.

There is always a gunner you can do. Laika is mid to long range with close combat capabilities but what of a pure mid-range to short range gal with shot guns, rifles, sub-machines guns or whatever. Or even better, a mid-range weapons expert with missile pods. Hey, I'm just throwing out a few ideas.

ooh, NICE. And yeah, I think some decals would add nicely to it. At this point, I think you need a makers mark, honestly. Maybe experiment with decal paper?

Thanks for all your suggestions! Laika is now my official ballistics and mid-range gunner, thanks to the impossibility of me getting a Zel . But she still has her raw physical strength so she mainly uses gunblades (new various modded weapons) and gripper shield (from Gundam System Weapon 3, ought to get another set for dual grippers). As for decals, they are a possibility, or I could always get those extra gunpla decal sets. Pics soon when I get time off this Christmas.

I got rid of the pilebunker and gonna remod it sometime. And thanks for making Zelda happy with your compliment .

Thanks, and Reborns Gundam parts should be fairly easy to mod into custom armors as I've seen a lot of them over at fg-site. The arms and legs should be like Gundam 00's if I'm not mistaken (though I'm not sure about the thigh joint TBH), and as for the wings, get the entire backpack part and do what I did. But you should always feel free to experiment.

Thanks for the advice - I may do the backpack, though it honestly depends on what I see after getting the kit and seeing what it is for myself. Bit worried about the GN Drives on the arms being bulky, though we'll see.

I am also very curious as to how you got a GN Drive attached to your Howling's back.

That's what happens when you have too many spare gunpla parts on hand (especially if they are mostly bootlegs ). The backpack with the GN Drives is actually the waist support parts for Verde Buster (the part that connects the two main guns to the torso, look up some pics to get an idea). I stuck in a peg to be able to connect it to the MMS backpack part. The GN Drive itself is from an unused GN-X III. Right now, Laika's backpack is from a Gunner Zaku, but I might replace it with something better once I get back to modding again.

I attempted to make my own land strikers but my mods are inferior to your mods. Shame I can't take my gundam girl AGP and cross her with my gunpla as in legs and arms.

I've changed Laika's official designation from 'Armored Hound' to 'Gunner Hound'. I did away with her previous gear and gave her some pretty neat stuff.



Laika's combat style focuses on ballistics weaponry and close-quarter-combat, though she still has access to energy weapons. She still has the GN Sword II Blaster (Gundam Seven Sword), and twin-bladed smg (a kitbash of Cherudim's rifle, Seven Sword's katars and a Koto rifle scope plus spike launcher). The Koto weapons will be repainted...



...as will these from Gundam System Weapons 3, a sniper rifle and claw shield.

Now here's Laika with her new primary weapon...



Gatling cannon courtesy of MC (Model Comprehend) RX-93 [G] Nu Gundam (or Gundoom, as it is written in the box ). The front grip and handle are custom-made for shinki use since the originals are too bulky.
