CSC guide

Image Ruby - Increases attack. Seems like with all stat increase CSC, it mostly increases the rate at which the stat grows- adding levels in the relevant stat 'does more'.

Image Sapphire - Increases accuracy.

Image Emerald - Increases dodge.

Image Topaz - Increases guard.

Image Garnet - Increases both attack and accuracy. The double stat increase CSC don't seem to be particularly better than the single ones, though. Apparently they may decrease the two stats they don't improve, and may not have as much of a benefit as the single ones.

Image Bloodstone - Increases both accuracy and dodge.

Image Lapis Lazuli - Increases both attack and guard.

Image Aquamarine - Increases under water performance.

Image Peridot - Increases night vision.

Image Malachite - Increases mobility.

Image Amethyst - Increases SP growth.

Image Onyx - Increases LP growth.

Image Zircon - Increases weight. (Reduces movement and knockback. Better in low gravity environment.)

Image Opal - Increases performance in multiple environments (under water, in darkness and in low gravity).

Image Moonstone - increases all stats, apparently more as you do more OBs.

Image Diamond - raises your level cap by 30 or 60 levels. Also decreases stat growth on everything.

Image Jade - Increases stun resistance, apparently also increases one stat.

Image Amber - Increases knockdown resistance, apparently also increases one stat.

Image Black opal - Increases both LP and SP growth.

Image Cat's eye - Increases mobility and apparently also one stat.

Edit: By request, the old CSC effect table. It probably isn't relevant by now.

I'm unable to find this elsewhere, so I'd like to ask: what exactly does CSC stand for?

I think it's Core Setup Chip.

...or Combat System Core

at least would somehow explain why visually are pretty much like stone spheres instead of circuit chips

One thing missing form here is the Japanese wiki seems to talk about "sense" a lot. always wondered what that referred to. Like I think it implied Cats Eye gave you shinki better AI with determining what range to move to before attacking. I was never sure of this, though.

Does the black opal only increase LP and SP and NOT decrease other stats?

Does anyone here know specific achievements that would give some of these CSCs? Particularly moonstone, as that seems quite awesome.

On a side note, is the moonstone even as good as I am led on to believe?

From achievements, the only way to get a moonstone is to complete achievements that give the "upper class 2 (アッパークラス2)" pack or "rare 1 (レア1)" pack. Basically, you do the achievement, and you get a random CSC from a set.

Upper Class 2:
- Get 3 Shinkis to their level limit
- Do 500 training sessions (I don't think it matters if you fail or not)
- Do 200 official battles
- Win 200 official battles
- Evade getting DOWN status 100 times(?)
- Finish the battle with only 1 digit of SP remaining (repeatable)

Rare 1:
- Do 1000 training sessions
- Beat S Class mission I
- Beat S Class mission II
