...So it looks like the secret is sending in the problem in Japanese.

Well, using Japanese shows you're trying to be courteous. Using English comes off as expecting them to bend to you, quite possibly.

Anyone have any good English->Japanese translators I could use to help write my e-mail, or should I just stick with Babelfish?
