My newest acquisition didn't seem to fit in with any of the existing threads, hence the necessity for making this.

Anyway, feel free to post your own stuff too.

But first dibs on show-and-tell as TC privilege:


My new Tamashii Nations item: A 1:1 Scale model of the Moe Magnum (MMZ-01 Moe Moe Zucune Aoi) of Hikounin Sentai Akiba Rangers fame.


It goes from gun to girl and back again in seconds. It can make sounds and stuff with 2 LR44 batteries, but I currently don't have any.

Interesting design. But no joints for playability? Not my kind of taste ^^;;

No joints because it's a prop replica. It's not supposed to have joints.

It's pretty much like those retro Transformer toys where only the relevant parts for transforming have movable joints. The sight arm can be tilted a bit, the right hand is movable, and the right leg can be spread a little.

I got it because I like Aoi's character design. I loved the main show too, just never got around to finishing it.

Anyway got the batteries for it now, and the sound output is nice. Not as loud as the Kamen Rider Wizard DX Driver, but good enough.

No definite release date makes me a sad panda though. Plus I wanted a sound model gun to match my sound beam saber and the aforementioned Wizard Driver.

I'm also still waiting on Marucina, and also whether or not they still plan to bundle the alternate human character heads for the SH figs of the main three with another related figure.

The only Akiba Ranger merchandise I'm not getting is the Itasha Robo, since it's prohibitively expensive.

Expensive, but awesome. I'd be looking for a way to get it for sure if I had/wanted the akibaranger figuarts.

Yes it was.

Got me hooked from the first ep because of the appearance of the Maskman Great Five Robo Chogokin toy. Coveted that one as a wee tot, since I was also watching said series at the time.

Speaking of Chogokin, got one of HoiHoi-san and Combat-san just now. Pics later.
