Where to find official artwork?

Post by Hylian Pirate » Thu Mar 11, 2010 12:19 am

I'm starting to have a few space issues... The boxes Busou Shinki come in are huge! But I don't have the heart to get rid of them, because the artwork is beautiful and just plain cool. I know Konami has some wallpapers up on their site, but not all of the girls are there, and it's usually just the image on the front of the box... Does anyone know where I could find medium to high-res images of that great Shinki box art? Or should I just cut my boxes up and save them in a folder somewhere...? (It'd be nice if I could get rid of them altogether if I'm going to go that far...)

I've tried Danbooru and Google Image Search already. I do love a good internet quest, you know...

You can start with scanning the boxes  Because eventually, you'll get rid of them (because the boxes are being eaten by termites? Maybe...). So far, my best bet is Danbooru & Gelbooru. But still, not every Shinki has it's Hi-quality images on the net...

If they continue the series, grab the Busou shinki magazines. The first one has all of humikane's shinki art in it, along with a bunch of concept stuff. Second one is coming out soon, although I dont think they've revealed which artist that ones going to feature.

Blade's popped up as being related to the second volume in some capacity.

My scanner is... not great... or hooked up... I was interested in the magazine though. Is it still available? If it is, where might one look for such a thing? I don't recall seeing it on HLJ off the top of my head (where I recently discovered Harmony Grace was now on backorder...).

A not too uncommon problem I might think, for I myself suffer the same problem...
Do you know how BIG (and lavishly decored) the box(s) is for a 1/60 scale Perfect Grade Gundam is?
just me stealing your shadow...
and whatever else a camera can take.
