Gunpla Adventures

Post by Tahu Metru13 » Mon Sep 28, 2009 12:33 pm

I have been working on picture comics involving my Gunpla model kits since before I was in college. I have never posted them anywhere because I could never find just the right place to post them. As I believe I have found the place to do so, here I go.

Warning! The site I post these on is prone to downtime. As such, these comics may sometimes fail to load, even if there's nothing wrong with your computer.

001: Awakening:

Also expect comics from a side-story called How To Gunpla.

P.S. These get better as I go, as I'm still experimenting with Photoshop. Comments and criticism are both apreciated.

002: Why Rescue Them? I Don't Know Them:

Yes, I know it was spontanious for Exia to save Nobel and Freedom like that, but I'll improve my plot elements as I go.

003: Enter Dynames:

This comic displays a perfect example of how I use problems with my kits to my advantage. In the scene where Exia's ankle malfunctioned, the foot guard had broken in two. Rather than try to fix the part and put it back on for the next shot, I went with it and made it look like Exia malfunctioned.

is that the MG exia?

nice start btw! you even included some bionicles in the story!

i dunno if you are gonna add shinkis eventually but (personally) i hope so.

just al little advice form my part: whatever cam you are using, get a tripod and use the camera timer, with that the unnecessary blurryness dissapears.

Thanks for the feedback and advice. :) And no, this isn't the Master Grade Exia. These comics are from before it was even announced. As for the Bionicles, I intend to use them as extras for now, but maybe one will show up as a villain. :maochao: Also, I do intend to add Shinkis as soon as I get them. :) :strarf:

004: Bounty Hunter Kyrios:

I tried to make Kyrios true to its pilot in 00. White background means the Allelujah part of him is talking, and black background means it's the Hallelujah part of him. Grey background, which I haven't used yet, means both at the same time.

Next comic will be How To Gunpla 001.

How to Gunpla 1st: 00 Raiser:

Just imagine Vestige playing in the background of the first panel. ;) Also note that while Gunpla Adventures takes place in an original world, How To Gunpla takes place in our world.

Honestly, I think that 00 Raiser Gundam and the Strike Freedom are on a even footing...

I miss my Strike Freedom, I managed to lose it WITHOUT MOVING IT.

Ouch! If that ain't terrible luck, I don't know what is. :S :vitulus:

Time for another comic. Don't expect updates this fast in the future. The comics I'm posting were already completed by now.

Nice!

Is it sad that I can name every single model and figure in that comic?
