Prepper or Preppy?
I always enjoy doing the Belinda and Valerie strips. They play off each other well.
This is the first strip using the Shinki Photo Stage 2.0. I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out, although I may try painting the back panel a deeper tan or yellow; it still looks white in the photos although it is actually a cream color.
The "tatami mat" floor was done using 1/2" thick MDF board painted light green. The edges of the "mats" were done using 1/8" chart tape, and the whole thing sealed with a coat of clear matte spray paint.
It's cloudy here today, so I had to open up the aperture to f/5.6 and 1/80 sec exposure. I don't like using the flash because it gives hard shadows and harsh lighting. I tried putting some tissue over the flash to act as a diffuser but it didn't seem to make much difference.

Ayn Who?
Evelyn in her usual form.
The weather's been lousy here, so I tried taking some shots in another part of the house where there was a larger window and I was hoping the lighting might be a little better. I still had to open up the aperture to f/5.6 and slow the shutter speed down to 1/13 second. The shots actually turned out okay. I can't seem to get decent pictures using a flash, which probably just means I still don't know what I'm doing.

Thanks very much. I've been having a blast writing the dialogue for the characters as their personalities have developed, and I've found just daily life gives me a lot of ideas for strips once I started looking for them.Lock Cade wrote:Just got caught up reading all of your strips. I have a lot of fun with Evelyn's character. She's so unapologetically self-centered she's funny; that, and that I never quite know if she's joking--like when she suggested the mailman get a lobotomy to deal with his "job stress."Lock Cade wrote:Oh Evelyn...
