Well, at least the Doc got through. Lord knows the Autobots could use some help on that end.

Ditto Hylian Pirate, and awesome climax to the chapter there.

Animated Starscream gets better?

There are lots of "dark" characters there, including the Shadow Commander (Ultra Magnus "City Commander" recolor). My guess is that Murmeltier and/or Shockwave evil-mad-scientists the corpses, similar to reviving Sixshot in Thundercracker's body.

As a fun little detail, does anyone else find it funny that Saber is the only one who doesn't know Howling is a woman? Even Grimlock knows better... Also, does Howling have some kind of psychic communicative link with Saber, or is it kinda like Lassie, who can tell Timmy's family that he's fallen in the well again just by barking. I get a pretty good chuckle out of that...

Well, from what I remember from the anime, some of her Knights WERE awfully bishy. :D Gender confusion must be ingrained into her by now.

Although their relationship thus far is Platonic, Saber and Howling have achieved a deep level of emotional understanding with one another. This in spite of Saber still managing to overlook Howling's etc.

Hey guys!

I'm working on the start of the next chapter. The first update has some complex stuff in it that requires I evict my roommates from the living room, so it's a bit delayed. To tide you over, I thought I'd post some random cool pics that might interest you.

Image

Got my iGear Ark set, and UM's upgrade kit (Note the missile launchers and rifle).

Will it be used in the comic? YES!

Image

My 'Brawl Brigade', as it currently stands. Three more coming soon.

Will it be used in the comic? YES!

(Yes, I'm troop building Leader class figures. Yes, that's stupid and expensive. Now hush.)

Image

Dengeki Yda, a very much appreciated gift from a friend! No, I won't tell you who, I don't want people pestering them for free toys.

Will she be used in the comic? Quite likely yes, still determining how.

Image

Asuka!

Will she appear in the comic? Yes. Currently planned for flashbacks only.

Image

Toaster Goblins!

Will they appear in the comic? Probably. They get into everything.

Image

...

Will she appear in the comic? CLASSIFIED

how do you like the iGear Ark set? Does it hold together well? Will we see an ACO Review of it soon?

The iGear Ark set is currently available at Big Bad Toy Store (bbts.com)

However, as for the rest?

The set needs the person who buys it to put some work into it to make it work. With so many floor and wall panels, small imperfections and variances in molding and tolerances start adding up. Add minor warping of some of the panels, plus residue from the mold non-stick coating, and this set is a pain to assemble, and a pain to KEEP together. That and they didn't include any assembly instructions or sticker placement guide... you have to go to their website for that.

If you tried to put this together right out of the box, you'd likely end up throwing it into a wall.

I soaked and washed the components of mine in VERY hot soapy water. This washed off the residue, which allowed the pieces to have some friction (And made the tabs and slots a little less pointless). This also gave the stickers a fighting chance at adhering. It also eased some of the warping, especially on the floor panels.

Once this step is taken, the floor panels and side walls lock into place securely, and I can lift and move the whole assembly. However, the back wall still is very tenuous. It simply doesn't want to stay tabbed in, and with so many panels, forcing one securely into place pops out two more. BUT it's not going to come apart from you placing figures or posing them.

To be fair, to make something of comparable size from Kotobukyia Chain Bases (Which the panels and walls are based off of, though downsized slightly) would cost almost twice as much, and would lack all of the computer consoles and stuff, so price-wise it makes sense. And the individual panels and items are made out of nice, thick, sturdy plastic.

It really depends if you have the patience to wrestle with it.

If the walls are warping and you are not going to show the backside, may I suggest using 1/4" x 1/4" balsa or bass wood (available at almost every hobby shop) at both top and bottom of the walls and use VERY TOUGH glue like CA glue (super glue) or gorilla glue or some other form of adhesive. Also clamps to hold the wood to the walls while they fry and cure. This should (I emphasize should) take the warping out of the columns.

I might do that eventually. The side walls with the columns are actually no problem, it's the back wall with it's utter LACK of columns. but for right now it holds together well enough for what I need, and I want to retain the ability to break it down if need be, because it's effin' huge.
