As a fellow Shinki clothesmaker, may I recommend swapping from stitches to glue? It worked wonders for me. Also, I'd be interested in comparing sizes; it seems your wife used a slightly smaller sleeve width than I did. I'm actually pretty impressed with what she has accomplished with her stitching ...
