Re: And So It Begins (Kotobukiya Busou Shinki)

I don't mean to burst any bubbles... but check the pictures of the arnval proto in the first post. That's from when they initially showed up. That arnval has elbow rivet detailing, though she seems to be missing the shoulder ones. Yeah, you right. Also, I checked 2016 Wonfes and Arnval had then the...

Re: Kotobukiya's Megami Device

SOL Roadrunner promo video Oh man, I love her smug and confident smile. Me too, her facial experssions are so much better the SOL HORNET cutesy pouty moe schtick. I like her hairstyle, colors and ovarlook more then SOL HORNET, however I am less fond of her accessories/weapons:/ (which also seems to...

Re: And So It Begins (Kotobukiya Busou Shinki)

Who is CHOCO  This is somewhat of an amusing question to have asked in this setting, but: Choco is the designer for Ach, Yda, Sharatang, and Baby Razz. Thank you, I knew they were different people who desgined Busou Shinkis, but I didn't know/remember specific names. It's not really news ...

Re: Kotobukiya's Megami Device

http://blog.livedoor.jp/hobisima-rittai/MD_AS_2016-12-20 In case you don't own one yet this review/build is very very detailed to show all the internals. I'm still more impressed my Busou Shinki vs this new body when it comes to feeling solid and less likely to break. Yeah I know it's kit vs manufa...

Re: And So It Begins (Kotobukiya Busou Shinki)

As for being fragile, I'd say they aren't really any more fragile than a normal busou shinki figure, I don't own any Busou Shinki myself, but it's hard for me to believe that an action figure jointed with screws is equal in it's sturdiness to disassembled hollow model kit. I do own two toys with sc...

Re: And So It Begins (Kotobukiya Busou Shinki)

The Shinki kits arent available for preorder on the Kot. US site yet, which would be my benchmark for actually ordering the thing I checked the Japanese site, there's nothing there either. Busou Shinki should have been sold to a company who makes action figures, model kits are more complicated and ...

Re: And So It Begins (Kotobukiya Busou Shinki)

I will say though I still like the line, just never expect a durable action figure from a kit. Exactly! That's what I meant to say. That said, if you want a solid base figure, I expect the Megami Device line to work fine, so you can buy one of those and use it as a Shinki body; they'll be fully com...

Re: And So It Begins (Kotobukiya Busou Shinki)

Thanks for the information, sorry for the very late reply. I also have checked Frame Arms Girl reviews on youtube, and it confirmed my assumption that they're bunch of hollow fragile unpainted chunk of plastic, even someone who actually loves this line and own at least 3 model kits have said they're...

Re: And So It Begins (Kotobukiya Busou Shinki)

That's a bit pricy, but not exactly unexpected. For comparison, most FA Girls have been around $40 or so, and they've had nowhere near as much armor as a Wave 1 Shinki (though given the relative sizes, I'm still a bit disappointed; that's more expensive than even most UC-era MGs, and I doubt Koto's...

Re: And So It Begins (Kotobukiya Busou Shinki)

that's awesome news... buts that's on the website right? or is a magazine??? EDIT: she's supposed to be model kit right? because $64 is not exactly cheap for that kind of model kit imho Given the features she'll have, the articulation, 65 dollars or so is reasonable. Also Konami kits have always be...
